Application Strategy and Leadership

• Design and implement the IT application strategy to align with the organization's business objectives.
• Lead and oversee the applications team, ensuring effective development, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical applications.
• Act as a subject matter expert, advising on optimal technologies and methodologies to address business challenges.

Application Portfolio Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of business applications, from planning and selection to implementation and continuous optimization.
• Supervise a portfolio of applications, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, security, and user experience.
• Assess and recommend third-party software solutions to enhance operational efficiency and business processes.

Project Management & Implementation

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of application-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing applications team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Establish clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, and support team members' career growth.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance of all applications with internal security policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce IT governance frameworks for managing application lifecycles.
• Mitigate risks associated with application systems by implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Monitor application performance and spearhead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the application domain and recommend their adoption where beneficial.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable support and high-quality solutions.
• Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders across the organization, gathering requirements, providing updates, and aligning IT initiatives with business needs.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing application management.
• Proven track record in managing enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) within large-scale organizations.
• Extensive knowledge of application development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based applications, SaaS platforms, and integration of third-party solutions.
• Background working with international companies, demonstrating cross-cultural adaptability.
• Experience in integrating corporate IT applications and localizing business software.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in application management tools, databases, and systems integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and application lifecycle management.
