Job offer: Accounting Manager

Our client manages duty free retail operations, specializing in fragrance, cosmetics, sunglasses, and fashion jewelry.

• Oversee accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate financial transaction recording
• Maintain general ledger integrity, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE tax laws
• Manage daily, monthly, and yearly closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Lead and support the accounting team, promoting continuous improvement
• Review and approve reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and tax filings
• Conduct audits and implement internal controls to protect financial data
• Collaborate with departments to optimize systems and align operations
• Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and support external audits while reporting key metrics to senior management

• Recognized professional accountancy qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial management role
• Proven commercial experience
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• High level of accountability and personal responsibility
• Good understanding of local and international accounting rules
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-directed, organized, and able to prioritize effectively
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (Navision is an advantage)
