Job offer: Projects Manager

A local government entity in Abu Dhabi.

• Manage capital projects and ensure consultants and contractors deliver services within the scope of work.
• Oversee and drive the design development and approvals process through close coordination with the responsible consultants, technical teams and stakeholders.
• Review design proposals and modifications to ensure all design elements align with the project brief, scope of work and the end user requirements.
• Monitor design and construction progress against approved documentation and execution plans, including compliance with design and specifications, quality control, HSE, codes, industry standards and best practices
• Monitor the performance of consultants, contractors and subcontractors, during the design and construction phase to ensure that the quality of work meets the project's requirements .
• Conduct site visits and attend site meetings to monitor the progress and the proper completion of site activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact and facilitate communication with project stakeholders.
• Manage the implementation of quality control and quality assurance programs in compliance with requirements and contract conditions.
• Assist in the review of all variation orders and their accuracy and assess impact on overall project plan and budget before the commercial team conducts their investigation.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management, preferably with large scale developments, 5 years of which in managerial position
• Strong expertise in managing large size projects within real estate development or contracting company.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and strategic planning.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
• Proficient in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an added value.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the preparation of reports and presentations to senior management.
• Knowledge of design and construction local and international best practices.
• Solid understanding of local regulations and requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
