Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience in rushed projects.
  • Experience in securing projects, construction feasibility studies and project planning.
  • Able to foster a sense of team spirit within different departments.
  • Communicates well and relays information in a timely manner with ability to work, lead and direct a high-performing team, showcasing problem-solving and innovation skills.
  • Experience of working on major projects, clients, consultants, and developers.
  • Has good budgeting skills and is able to reduce costs without making adjustments that would affect quality.
  • Demonstrate business experience with significant profit and loss responsibility, coupled with financial management skills
  • Knows what is required in order for a particular project to be completed, and has realistic expectations as far as meeting deadlines go.
  • Possesses good math skills, and can make accurate calculations effectively.
  • Has good leadership and supervisory skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities with capacity to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Leads a team of Project Managers, and other professionals who are essential to a project's success.
  • Monitor and report on project milestones, such as financial and programmatic ones.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for each of the projects.
  • Responsible for project implementation, financial and administrative oversight, monitoring, reporting and evaluating the project.
  • Work with Tendering Unit on new project leads, pricing, and submission.
  • Handle contract negotiations, risk management and change management processes.
  • Coordinate the efforts of various employees to ensure the completion of tasks.
  • Report on construction progress, schedules, costs, quality and update work plan and trackers.
  • Responsible for overseeing Project Managers, who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard.
  • Provide leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time and meet project KPI's.
  • Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a given project.
  • Oversee and lead all aspects of projects, ensuring high-quality construction standards and method and efficient execution and successful project delivery.
  • Creates a budget for the completion of a particular job, and monitors the amount of money spent in order to ensure the project does not exceed this amount.
  • Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results.
  • Develops an alternate course of action for completing a job should the initial plan fail.
  • Coordinate construction activities and direct workers and subcontractors including managing equipment and materials.
  • Makes presentations to investors, business partners and company executives regarding different phases of a project.
  • Reviews proposals and approves or denies them consulting executive management.

The successful candidate will have strong exposure to Project Management within the Public Realm/Landscape sector with proven leadership qualities.

  • Minimum Master Degree in related engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in landscape or relevant fields with at least 5 years in similar
