Job offer: Group Reporting Manager

Our Client is one of the largest producers in the world with a current capacity from three sites with sister company of over 70 million tonnes per year of limestone, dolomite and gabbro and combined reserves of billions of tonnes. They are currently searching for an experienced Group Reporting Manager to join their team in UAE.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and the company's policies
• Analyse and interpret financial data, provide insights, prepare and present results and recommendations to management and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with the company's tax, legal, and regulatory obligations and liaise with external and internal auditors and authorities as required
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process and monitor the actual performance against the budget and forecast

ERP Implementation and System Controls

• Lead the finance team in the implementation of Oracle software and ensure that the system is configured and customised to meet the company's financial requirements and standards
• Develop and implement system controls and policies to ensure the security, accuracy, and completeness of financial data and transactions
• Provide training and support to the finance and accounting teams on the use of Oracle software and system controls
• Coordinate with the IT team and external consultants on system implementation, issues, upgrades, and enhancements

Other

• Primary point of contact with auditors for the year-end audit and IDO internal audits
• Perform ad hoc reviews on accounting and reporting matters to ensure consistency across entities
• Partner with other Group functional leaders on accounting matters including FP&A, Operations, Business Excellence and Commercial
• Lead, motivate and develop the finance team, ensuring that department objectives are achieved

Managerial Accountabilities

• Establish goals and objectives for the financial services function and ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall objectives
• Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial services function
• Lead and motivate the finance team and provide coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and performance
• Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department
• Communicate effectively and professionally with the finance and accounting teams, executive management, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the FP&A, procurement, IT, business excellence and operations teams and ensure alignment and coordination of financial processes and activities
• Represent the finance department in cross-functional projects and initiatives and provide financial expertise and guidance
• Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within or across the financial services function

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Chartered Accountant (fully qualified) - CA/ACCA/CPA
• 13+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the mining, construction or heavy industry
• Experience in leading or managing the implementation of Oracle software
• Managed, trained and developed teams of >15 people
• Worked for companies with >1,000 employees
