Associate Director - Equity Capital Markets Job Presentation
The client is one of the largest banks in the Middle East in terms of assets. It provides services across retail, corporate, wholesale, consumer and investment banking and has offices in multiple locations globally
The role reporting to the MD will have the following responsibilities:
- Support and lead equity and equity-linked capital raising transactions such as IPOs, follow-on offerings, private placements, and rights issues across Turkey
- Develop and execute financial models and deal structures in collaboration with investment banking teams.
- Manage transaction execution, including coordination with legal, compliance, and other external advisors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice to clients regarding capital raising, market trends, and investor sentiment.
- Work with senior management to develop and pitch equity capital market solutions to existing and potential clients.
- Monitor capital market trends, macroeconomic factors, and sector-specific developments to identify opportunities for equity issuance.
- Collaborate with the research team to prepare market outlook reports and provide market insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Engage with the syndication team to determine appropriate investor targeting and syndicate strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, roadshows, and investor presentations.
- Liaise with institutional investors to gather feedback and ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal frameworks related to capital markets activities.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage due diligence and regulatory filings.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the ECM team.
- Contribute to team development through training and thought leadership
The ideal candidate should have the following:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
- An MBA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is preferred
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in equity capital markets, investment banking, or corporate finance with a coverage focus within Turkey
- A strong preference for Turkish speakers
- Proven track record in executing equity-related transactions, including IPOs and follow-ons
- Strong knowledge of equity products, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
