Al Batinah Power Company - Muscat, Oman

Al Batinah Power operates the Sohar 2 Power Plant in the Al Batinah region of the Sultanate of Oman, a gas-fired combined cycle power generation plant. Through a single long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Oman Power & Water Procurement Company (OPWP), Al Batinah Power is contracted to provide the entirety of its installed capacity until March 2028. After the expiration of the PPA, Al Batinah Power will have the option to either extend the agreement or sell its output to eligible customers in a liberalized market or power pool.
